STGT manages the employment of approximately 80 Apprentices and Trainees across the Southern Tablelands region, servicing Goulburn, Crookwell, Braidwood, Queanbeyan, Canberra, Yass, and the Southern Highlands.

Southern Tablelands Group Training (STGT) is located in the busy regional centre of Goulburn, and specialises in the selection, induction and employment of Apprenticeships, Traineeships and School Based Traineeships, and their placement with selected Host Employers (local businesses).

We can assist in the provision of apprentices and trainees in a broad range of industries – Apprentices in traditional trades such as engineering, building and construction, electrical, horticulture and plumbing; and Trainees in industries such as business, hospitality, civil construction, financial services and more to satisfy the needs of the local community.

We cover all industry apprenticeships / traineeships in order to suit your business needs.  There are over 100 apprenticeships and over 800 traineeships available in NSW.

About Group Training

Group Training Companies employ Apprentices and Trainees and then place them with ‘Host Employers.’ This arrangement frees the Host Employer from the burden of paperwork, payroll, as well as providing a safety net for the Apprentice or Trainee who can be rotated between Host Employers if necessary.

Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)

The wellbeing of Trainees and Apprentices in the workplace is of paramount importance to STGT.  We undertake health and safety audits of all Host Employers at no cost to them and where needed provide ongoing support to assist the implementation of changes that enhance workplace safety.

During induction of Apprentices and Trainees OH&S is a priority, ensuring that when they commence their employment with a Host Employer they are safety conscious and ready to work.

During the employment of your Apprentice / Trainee, we manage any Workers Compensation Claims including insurance paperwork, doctor’s visits, and return to work programs.

“SAFETY - DID IT, DONE IT, DOING IT TOMORROW”

Business Excellence and Innovation

Since its inception, Southern Tablelands Group Training has constantly reviewed and refined its practices to ensure the delivery of the most relevant skills training in all disciplines.  We continually strive to further improve our excellence in customer contact and business administration.
